PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE

• Check if your passport is valid for more than 6 months from your travel dates.
• Inform your bank of your travel destinations to avoid issues with your cards.

• Ensure you apply for a visa if your nationality requires one.

FLIGHT

• Book your roundtrip flight to Haneda Airport (HND) in Tokyo for arrival.
• Your return flight should depart from Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka.
• Book your flights as early as possible to save money.

VISA

• U.S. citizens do not require a visa for stays of 90 days or less in Japan.
• Check requirements if you’re traveling on a non-U.S. passport.

GENERAL INFO

• Rooms are double occupancy with two beds (unless single occupancy is selected). If you don't already have a roommate, you will be paired with one.
• Be prepared for a mix of modern and traditional accommodations, including potentially smaller rooms compared to Western standards.
• All activities and meals are planned as a group. If you opt out of an activity or group meal, you will be responsible for any additional expenses.
• Japan’s transportation system involves a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are essential.

FOOD / DRINKS

• Expect a variety of traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, tempura, and more.
• Meals are not included every day, giving you the freedom to explore local dining options during non-group meal times.
• Japan has great vegetarian and halal options, but please notify us in advance of any dietary restrictions.
• Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package.

WARNING - PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• This trip involves extensive walking, including stairs and uneven surfaces at historical sites.
• Please ensure you are physically able to participate in these activities.

MONEY / CURRENCY

• Japan’s currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY). Currently, $1 USD ~ 157 JPY (subject to change).
• Many places accept credit cards, but it’s recommended to carry cash for smaller purchases, tips, and souvenir shopping.
• You can exchange your USD for JPY at the airport or withdraw cash from ATMs upon arrival.
